We would like to reassure our patients that we are here to listen and help you. Whilst we remain in a pandemic we will continue to operate a predominantly telephone triage system. Walk in sessions will not be available until we feel that it is completely safe for both our patients and our staff. Initial contact can either be by telephone or eConsult. Our staff have been trained by the doctors to ask you questions so that they can place you with the most appropriate NHS professional. This may be a GP, Pharmacist, Practice Nurse, Physiotherapist, Optometrist, Dentist, Podiatrist. If a face to face appointment is clinically necessary, the Practice will make arrangements for you to attend in person.
We thought you would be interested to know that at this current time, on a daily basis, our GP's are seeing on average 30 to 40 patients face to face, along with undertaking approximately 100 telephone consultations. Our nurses see the majority of their patients on a pre-booked face to face basis in addition to telephone consultations.
Because of this way of working we have seen a significant increase in the amount of telephone calls we receive and we apologise if it's taking longer than normal for you to get through to us.
Please bear with us and only ring if necessary.
